Peter Herbert Duplessis
October 16, 1941 - February 13, 2022
Obituary- On the morning of February 13, 2022 Peter Herbert Duplessis was called by the Almighty and transitioned from the physical world to the spiritual one. His soul continues to live on as it always has, now unfettered by the physical constraints of his body. And since Peter's true character—his goodness, virtue, and selflessness—lies in his soul, he has ascended to a higher state of eternal fulfillment. Peter was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 16, 1941 to Arthur and Minete Duplessis and is one of 10 children. After graduating from Joseph S. Clark High School in 1959, Peter enlisted into the Air Force in 1960 and served honorably until he retired in 1984. On September 21, 1963 Peter married the love of his life Scherrie C. Suarez and raised 3 children, Keri A'lise, Michael Craig and Erik Christopher. Throughout their 55 year marriage they traveled the world, but settled in Aurora, Colorado for most of their lives. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service and enjoyed a second retirement after 20 years. He is survived by children: Keri Devane, Michael Duplessis & Erik Duplessis; grandchildren Maddison, Delanie, & Peyton Duplessis, Ciara & Alina Devane; brothers Andrew Duplessis, Raymond Duplessis and Winston Duplessis; sister Marie Moore; as well as many loved nieces, nephews and in laws.
